As many of you know, phase 3 of the project has ended. If I must say so myself, we had a tremendous sprint in this phase, as the means were not available to lift the project off the ground! Now that is not the case anymore!
Many have been wondering how we actually function as a team. That is a matter that is quite important. Do we keep our selves closed from the environment? or precisely the opposite? do we welcome new members who potentially might come up with a great solution?
In short, we are open to everything! We don’t say no to anything! Unless its ridiculous ofcourse!
In the last phase. Team Maqina has developed some very interesting relations within India as well as the Netherlands. For more information, you can always contact us throught get in touch tab! I will not go into this in much detail, as much as I would like to.
One of our team members is currently in India, combining holidays with a bit of Hybrid Tuking. In the near future, it may be neccessary for a team member to travel to India regarding issues within the project. You will hear more about that when it is appropriate to make it public!
The Team would like to thank all those who are more than willing to provide help in any way. It is more than appreciated!
Here are a couple of Did you know’s:
-Did you know that the TUDelft team is the only dutch team with Indians in it (and they are only becoming more)?
-Did you know that the TUDelft team will be on National Geographic in 2009?
-Did you know that the TUDelft team is throwing a party in the near future? (You will get your invite, dont worry!)

After a tough search and intensive activity around sponsoring. Maqina is proud to announce that we have got our two first sponsors. One of the sponsors is “Stud bv”.

They are a job agency that operate in Delft. They provide many students from the TUDelft with jobs and are also active in sponsoring great initiatives like the one we are working on.
Our second sponsor is active in the banking world. We are proud to say that we are being sponsored by ING Netherlands. They are a main sponsor for our project. They were highly interested in our approach for tackling the project both from the business aspect aswell as the technical aspect.

Lately, our team has grown and many interesting students have joined. Highly motivated and they already see a future with the development our project is undergoing.
There is a event planned soon, in which we will have a Delft TukTuk party in which there will be drinks, music and ofcourse lots of fun!
You will hear more about it when the date is fixed!
I will leave it at this for now. More updated information will follow in the upcoming posts with new photos of the team and our recent activities!
Regards,
Peyoush Datta

After a long summer break its to get you all up-to-date with our progress! The team enjoyed their summer holidays and at the same time did some research regarding the project.
Maqina acquired some interesting documents and information that directly links the feasability to the various options that we have looked at.
Since we did not fully integrate the technical solutions in our feedback presentation we have to suffice with the orange light. It will turn green in no time! We did however get rewarded with the most Tuks!
Another great accomplishment is the fact that we have managed to integrate various aspects into the various engineering studies. We are looking forwards to have a business student from another university to join the team and work their magic regarding the business model.
We are happy to announce that we have another team member to join the technical team. He has alot of experience concerning hybrid solutions, as it is his hobby. He rebuilt his own scooter so that it could run on alcohol! Not exactly a cheaper solution (since alcohol is reasonably expensive), but a great accomplishment!
The team itself is running on high revs and is in a weeks time going to switch over to the next gear!
Team Maqina is looking forward to the workshop weekend planned on the 19th of September.
We will keep you up-to-date with all future developments!
